The soft hackamore provides the training advantage of being firm under pressure and soft upon release. When the horse presses against the narrow rope the result is more pounds per square inch of pressure than with a wider bosal or web halter. When the horse releases, the rope immediately provides comfort unlike a raw hide bosal which may continue to rub. This makes the undesirable behavior uncomfortable and the desirable behavior comfortable. Perfect training reinforcement. |
