About our
Rope
We use the highest quality
materials for long lasting and color fast rope tack.
We use marine grade rope with double braid construction
for all of our rope tack. Double
braided rope is two ropes in one. First the
braided core is constructed. A second rope is then
braided over it to form the cover or sleeve. Our marine
grade polyester or nylon rope is designed to withstand sun
and salt water (or sweat) without fading, rotting, or fraying.
It is washable and remains supple while enduring punishment
from the environment.
Rope
for Halters
Our halters are available
in both polyester and nylon marine grade rope manufactured
by either New England Rope
or Pelican Rope Works for a rainbow of colors. More... Classic
Rope for Leads and Reins
Our classic leads and reins
are made with
Stable Braid which is marine grade rope made specifically
for equestrian applications. Other
rope can be stiff and/or heavy in comparison. The rope
is constructed with a braided inner core and braided outer
sleeve for flexibility and a live feel. This half inch rope
is light enough to be a comfortable weight at the twenty-two
foot length. Leads
and reins made from Stable
Braid are available in white with a blue tracer
or black with a blue tracer. More... Multicolored
Rope for Leads and Reins
For more color variety,
we offer some leads and reins in colors matching the multicolored
halters. They are constructed of marine grade rope manufactured
by New
England Ropes. The dacron/polyester rope is durable
and long lasting. The double braid construction provides
both flexibility and strength. The New
England double braid marine rope (also called yacht
braid) is only slightly more expensive and only slightly
heavier and firmer than the Stable Braid.
The reason to choose this rope is for durability or color. More...
Solid
Colored Rope for Leads and Reins
For ultimate color variety,
we offer some leads and reins in colors matching the solid
colored halters. They are constructed of marine grade rope
manufactured by Pelican
Rope Works or Amstrand. The polyester or nylon rope is supple and
fade resistant. The double braid construction provides both
flexibility and strength. The Pelican
Rope Works or Amstrand double braid marine rope is only slightly
more expensive than the Samson Stable Braid.
The polyester is more durable than the nylon. The reason
to choose this rope is simply for color. More...
When comparing rope, note the tracer (or
lack of tracer) which identifies the manufacturer.
The tracer is a thread of a different color which is woven
into the outer cover or sleeve of the rope.
